STEM Club - Monday Afternoons from 3pm - 4pm
STEM Club commenced on Monday afternoons with a large number of Year 7 students participating. Students were led through the basics of coding through the use of Makey Makey devices that culminated in a larger sound production where we learnt about connectivity and used the school PA system to play a large scale piano. Of note this year we are finding our new students have developed a basic understanding of coding whilst at primary school, meaning we move into fun activities quickly. Students have chosen options to undertake in the upcoming terms where they will rotate each term to a new activity. Skateboard making, Arduino Programming and 3D modelling and printing will be undertaken by students with staff from our school.
