James Cook Boys Technology High School has successfully educated young men since 1956 and we have established a proud history of academic, sporting and leadership excellence.
JCBTHS specialises in boy's education with a focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) and we strive to achieve the best learning outcomes for all our boys through a personalised learning approach. On Wednesday the 2nd of March between 5-7pm we are cordially inviting students, parents and the community to visit our school during our Open Evening. This will provide the community the opportunity to:
- Learn more about our Technology Transition Program (TTP) where all Year 7 students will be provided with a laptop to enhance their learning
- View demonstrations of Inquiry Based Learning through STEM
- Take a tour of our sports, recreational and learning facilities
- Enquire about our leadership and wellbeing programs
- Discover innovative and collaborative learning experiences through our extracurricular technology (Code Club, Robotics, Drones, Makey Makey) and through interest activities (Band, arts programs, homework tutoring centre)
- Meet the teachers, senior executive staff and students
- Learn how we have consistently achieved the highest educational growth for boys in the St George area
- Learn more about our partnership with St George Illawarra Dragons Rugby League Club and our emerging partnership with the St George Football Association
